Surya Kumar Ghimire is currently serving at the executive level as Deputy General Manager at Baahrakhari Media, the publisher of www.baahrakhari.com, one of Nepal’s leading digital mainstream media outlets. With nearly two decades of experience in the media industry, he possesses strong interpersonal relations with top corporate leaders, business figures, and political personalities in Nepal. Alongside his leadership in media operations, Ghimire is well-versed in branding strategies and frequently offers insights into the evolving media landscape and its current challenges and opportunities.

He also plays a key role in organizing Baahrakhari Golf, Nepal’s premium amateur golf tournament, which is a flagship annual event of Baahrakhari Media. The tournament recently concluded its successful eighth edition, with Ghimire contributing to its continued growth and prominence in Nepal’s sporting and corporate circles.

In addition to his media career, Surya Kumar Ghimire is actively engaged in climate advocacy. He serves in a voluntary capacity as the National Coordinator for Climate Reality Project India & South Asia, an initiative founded by former US Vice President Al Gore. The project mobilizes leaders worldwide to promote urgent, just climate solutions and accelerate the transition to clean energy. Trained as a Climate Reality Leader in Brisbane, Australia, in 2019, Ghimire combines his environmental commitment with his extensive media background, having previously worked with reputed media houses like Himal Media, Karobar Daily, Republic Media (publisher of Nagarik Daily and Republica Daily), and Nayapatrika Daily.
