24 Hours of Reality Report:
This year ‘24 hours of Reality- Truth into Action’, a global conversation on climate change reached thousands of people through presentations done by Climate Reality Leaders from various parts across the world.
In India, more than 50+ presentations were made in 15 States on 21st November carrying the message of climate change and awareness. The Climate Reality Project India is thankful to all its Climate Reality Leaders for taking the message of climate change forward. Read the report here

CLIMATE REALITY LEADERS IN ACTION
National Symposium at Sri Sri University, Odisha
Sri Sri University’s Resource Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education and Practices (RCSEP) organized a National Symposium on Sustainability in Practice to create awareness on climate change and sustainability practices, develop national and global partnerships to undertake research in this area and train future global leaders in sustainability. The centre has also established an annual award to felicitate a leading figure in the area of climate change and sustainability.
Climate Reality Leader, Prof Prafulla Dhal introduced the theme and highlighted the reason behind the symposium. He shared the past work of the resource centre in areas of training students in climate change, one million fruit tree plantations and suggested a future plan of action in the areas of climate resilience and sustainability in practice. Mr. Aditya Pundir stressed on forming a loop of the 4 Ps of sustainability viz., People, Planet, Prosperity, and Peace. He inspired the youth present to work towards bringing innovation in the vast field of sustainability and to focus on getting efficient, win-win sustainable solutions to the existing environmental problems. He even talked about the importance of the Green Campus Program where activities like Water Management, Waste Management, Energy Conservation, Biodiversity, should be taken up by all campuses to contribute to making a sustainable environment.
Chandigarh Climate Meet
The Climate Reality Project, India was invited to participate in the 2nd Chandigarh Climate Meet with participation in concurrent events namely Global Framework in the local context: Challenges and way forward and Mayor’s Forum on Climate Change, SDGs and New Urban Agenda respectively.
The second day saw participation by Mayors from a number of prominent cities wherein they shared how decisions are implemented or find problems in successful execution. Climate reality also honoured prominent people working in the domain of environment protection, thus creating examples for others to get motivated and do their bit. |
Green Mobility Fest 2019, Pune
On 15th Dec. 2019, Climate Reality India collaborated with civic authorities and Climate Reality Leader Mr. Shivam Singh to organise a half day Green Mobility Fest in Pune with a theme of Green Transportation. The participants included mayor of Pune, chief civil engineer from PWD as well as city planners from various govt. institutes as well as professors from local colleges working in the domain of sustainable development.
Mr. Bhavesh Swami, Clean Energy Consultant from Climate Reality, India spoke of community based EV solutions like e-bikes and cycles which are ideal for short range travel and utilize the space better. The audience applauded the efforts by Climate Reality in terms of having an open dialogue and on the spot solution.
