CLIMATE CHANGE EDUCATION
Principals Conclave on Sustainability Education in COVID Era

On the occasion of World Environment Day, a two-days International Webinar was jointly organized by Mobius Foundation, The Climate Reality Project India and other partners. The webinar deliberated on the inter-linkages between COVID-19 pandemic, biodiversity and how sustainability education can be a strategic asset to address both the environment and pandemic challenge.
The objective was to sensitize teachers, principals and educators about sustainability concerns and provide an opportunity for partnership between schools and research networks in ESD. It was attended by 160+ Principals and educators from various states. The online broadcast was further viewed by 6000+ viewers from across the globe.

On May 16th, a webinar titled ‘Implication of COVID on Education Sector and the way forward from the lens of Climate Change and Sustainability’ was organised by The Climate Reality Project India in association with Deccan Education Society’s Kirti College.

CLIMATE REALITY LEADERS IN ACTION
Plantation DriveClimate Reality Leader Mr. Raj Mohan with the help of 100 volunteers has planted 5 lac fruit trees in Sundarbans, Kolkata and in various parts of Odisha, UP, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Delhi NCR.
This plantation drive was part of his mission to plant and nurture 2 million fruit trees that can help in alleviate hunger and poverty while fighting pollution and climate change. |
‘Truth in Ten’ PresentationOn World Environment Day, a virtual “Truth in 10” webinar was organised by Climate Reality Leaders Sanjana and Raashi from Global Shapers Bangalore. The webinar focused on the discussion around the science, the societal changes, the solutions necessary to curb global warming and effects of climate change.

RELIEF EFFORTS FROM COVID-19 BY THE CLIMATE REALITY LEADERS
In BiharClimate Reality Leader from Bihar, Mr. Avinash Kumar under his organisation Kaushalya Foundation is working to support the communities affected with COVID-19 by providing food supplies, safety and hygiene materials and sharing information about the pandemic and preventive measures in Patna and other affected places in Bihar.
