CLIMATE CHANGE AWARENESS AND EDUCATION
International Conference for Sustainable Education (ICSE):
International Conference on Sustainability Education will provide a global platform to national and international dignitaries to discuss the need of incorporation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Climate Change Education (CCE) and Environmental Education (EE) in the current course curriculum.
It will develop recommendations for active integration of ESD, CCE and EE in the current curriculum followed in India to raise our next generation into a responsible citizen who lives by example.
The program will bring experts, international leaders, practitioners, and educators around the globe who will not only share their knowledge but bring forth best practices already being carried around the Globe and in India.
Contributions are invited for presentation during technical sessions of the Conference. An abstract of around 200 words in English has been invited. The last date for early bird registration and call for papers is 15th July 2019.

Environment Day celebrations 2019
Tree plantation and nature walk at Kirti College
The World Environment Day was celebrated in a unique way by the Climate Reality Leader from Mumbai Mrs Nandini Deshmukh in collaboration with Kirti College and the Climate Reality India. The theme for this year’s World Environment day was ‘Beat the air pollution’, keeping the theme in mind Mrs Deshmukh along with the members of Rotary club of Shivaji Park, Mumbai and Kirti College organised a Tree identification walk, tree plantation and Vruksh Dindi.
Deccan Education Society has recently signed MOU with Climate Reality Project with the intention of greening their educational campuses and this was an attempt in that direction. The tree identification was conducted by Dr. Smita Jadhav who explained the importance of the trees around the periphery of Shivaji Park. She also guided people to identify the trees by taking into account the leaf shapes, the structure of the bark and other details. The students carried a palanquin with 25 saplings of Tulsi plant, signifying the spiritual aspect of the tree plantation which were distributed amongst the people to spread awareness.
Then the tree plantation was done in the campus of Deccan Education Society where 27 trees of different varieties were planted. These trees were adopted by students who promised to take care of it.

Environment Day Celebrations in Odisha
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Climate Reality Leader Raj Phukan and Prafulla Dhal interacted with the press on 'Air Pollution and other environmental challenges' organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and Indian Green Building Council at the Bocca Café in the beautiful city of Bhubaneswar.

Bhavesh Swami, Climate Reality Leader from New Delhi took a session on water conservation on the occasion of World Environment Day, in an event organised by Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon. The event was attended by 100 civic authorities and stakeholders.
He also organised an awareness drive with Aanganwadi workers in a village in Gurgaon for women and children to make them aware about the climate change vulnerabilities and rural solution.

On 16th May, Mr Krishan Kalra, Trustee, the Climate Reality Project Foundation, addressed the members of the Rotary Club and made a highly informative presentation on the science, impact and solutions of climate change. The presentation was well received by the Rotary club members. |
